The Vivotek IP8332 is a high resolution megapixel bullet network camera primarily designed for outdoor video surveillance. With the inclusion of megapixel video resolution, Day/Night functionality and an IP66 outdoor rated design, the IP8332 is an IP camera that is suitable for applications including parking lots, gas stations and building perimeter security.
The IP8332 features a megapixel image sensor with support for up to 1280x800 video resolutions. With support for high resolution, megapixel video images the IP8332 makes proper identification clearer and more accurate in comparison to IP camera devices that only support VGA video resolutions. The IP8332 features a Triple Codec design which allows for multi-stream support of MPEG4, MJPEG and H.264 video compression formats. The IP8332 also includes built-in IR illuminators and a removable IR-cut filter which allows for camera operation both during the day and at night. The IP8332 will automatically adjust to changing lighting conditions so that a clear video image is always available for viewing.
Encased in an IP66 outdoor rated enclosure, the IP8332 is suitable for installation in outdoor environments but is compact enough in design that it may also be used within indoor environments where added camera protection is needed. With the inclusion of PoE (Power over Ethernet) support, installation of the IP8332 is made easy and more cost effective by eliminating the need for an additional power cable. The IP8332 is capable of receiving power for operation through the same Ethernet cable that video data propagates through.
Additional features of the IP8332 include tamper detection for unauthorized changes, activity adaptive streaming for dynamic frame rate control, HTTPS encrypted data transmission and a digital input for connecting an external sensor. The Vivotek IP8332 comes with the Vivotek 32 channel network video monitoring software and is suitable for environments with changing lighting conditions and changing weather conditions.
